Philipp Fankhauser

In the early 90s, Philipp Fankhauser was taken under the wing of blues legend Johnny Copeland, with whom he toured the US for three years. Between 1995 and 2010, multi Grammy Award winner Dennis Walker pro- duced four of Fankhauser’s albums and wrote many of his best-known songs, including “Try My Love.” Three of these four albums went either gold or platinum in Switzerland.

Since 2003, Philipp Fankhauser has been permanently on tour with his band. In 2012, Claude Nobs invited Fankhauser to the Montreux Jazz Festival. Nobs was so im- pressed by Fankhauser’s performance that it was made into a live CD/DVD, released the following year as Philipp Fankhauser Plays Montreux Jazz Festival.

In 2013, Fankhauser joined the talent show The Voice of Switzerland as a coach. The year 2014 marked the launch of the album Home, which again went gold, and in 2015 Fankhauser released his 14th album, Unplugged – Live at Mühle Hunziken, which saw him collaborating with Margie Evans for the first time in more than 20 years. December 2017 saw the release of “I’ll Be Around” the Malaco Session produced by Dennis Walker & Wolf Stephenson which once again went gold in Switzerland, “Let Life Flow” is Philipp Fankhausers 16th album."
